1. Introduction & Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how CampusRay ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at campusray.com or interact with our interactive web applications and diagnostic tools. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to manage them.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies allow websites to remember your device, preserve preferences (such as dark mode preferences or unsaved application data), and analyze performance metrics.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
CampusRay prioritizes user privacy. We do not sell personal data. We use the following categories of cookies to operate and sustain our free educational platform:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for platform security, local session routing, and ensuring client-side tools function without data loss.
- Preference Cookies: Remember your settings, such as selected themes, recent ATS scores, or saved tracker preferences.
- Performance & Analytical Cookies: Measure aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics via Google Analytics to help us optimize algorithm speed and user experience.
- Third-Party Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense): Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on a user's prior visits to CampusRay or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve relevant ads based on your browsing patterns.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences & Opting Out
You have the full right to accept, decline, or customize cookies at any time:
- On-Site Cookie Preferences: You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the Cookie Consent banner displayed on our platform.
- Google Personalized Ads Opt-Out: You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's official Google Ad Settings page.
- Universal Third-Party Opt-Out: You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices/ or the Network Advertising Initiative.
- Browser-Level Settings: You can configure your browser to reject all or specific cookies, or clear your cache and stored cookies at any time.
5. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect technological changes or legal compliance guidelines. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
